However, modern techniques reveal that they encode far more than meets the eye. The relatively recent framework of hyperasymptotics, developed by \u00c9calle, provides a systematic way to extract hidden, non-perturbative information from these series. Central to this approach are transseries, Borel resummation, and Alien calculus, which together offer a refined understanding of asymptotics beyond standard perturbation
